The CO\u2082 comes partly from geogenic sources and partly from the fuel itself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Clinker-production.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h1>\n<p>Production with CO\u2082 upcycling<\/p>\n<\/h1>\n<div>\n<p>Alnewa places a plasma field in the exhaust air flow. The plasma converts the CO\u2082 into a stable, combustible mixture of CO\u2082 as an inert gas and CO and O\u2082 as fuel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Plasma-splitting.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h1>The system fires itself with recycled exhaust gases:<\/h1>\n<div>\n<p>The process is then operated with the recycled, combustible mixture. The reaction product from the fuel is almost exclusively CO\u2082 &#8211; which is recycled back into fuel.<\/p>\n<p>Because a large proportion of the CO\u2082 comes from the geogenic source inherent in the process, the efficiency of the plant does not have to be extremely high in order to replace the fossil fuel.<\/p>\n<p>As the CO\u2082 produced is continuously recycled, no certificates need to be purchased for the CO\u2082 that is not emitted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/CO2-Recycling.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<h1>\n<p>Fossil fuels are largely being replaced.<\/p>\n<\/h1>\n<div>\n<p>Electrical energy must be invested in the process for splitting.
